GREENHOUSE MANAGER:
- Manage operations of a year-round greenhouse and provide instruction to students with special education needs.
- Manage daily operation of greenhouse.
- Supervise projects related to the TLC curriculum and vocational programs.
- Train TLC staff and students on safety protocols, greenhouse policies, and procedures.
- Maintain greenhouse files and records.
- Monitor the environmental conditions of the greenhouse.
- Provide instruction about plant life to TLC students.
- Develop a vocational program for TLC students to work in the greenhouse and engage in job related tasks such as harvesting, cleaning, storing, and distributing produce.
- Train TLC staff and students on safety protocols, greenhouse policies, and procedures.
- B.S. in Horticulture or related field required. Two year's experience working in a greenhouse is preferred.
- Must be able to pass background checks/drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a public service endorsement or equivalent for student transport.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER:
- Provide comprehensive physical and health education curriculum for students with special education needs.
- Conduct all physical education and health classes in collaboration with other teachers and clinicians.
- Coaching baseball and other teams required.
- Experience with students of all ages with behavioral, emotional, and cognitive challenges.
- BA/BS required with Connecticut Cert 043 (Health Education) and 044 (Physical Education), Pre-K-12.
- Coach Certification preferred.
- One week in our Maine wilderness camp each Summer.
- This is an eleven month position; Monday through Friday: 8 to 4.
- Must be able to pass background checks/drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a public service endorsement or equivalent for student transport.
RN POSITION FOR RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL:
- Nights & weekends. Flexible schedule.
- Must have a valid RN license in the State of Connecticut.
- Must Demonstrate Ability To:
- work with students with Asperger Syndrome.
- consult with medical and other professionals.
- provide supervision and training to staff administering medication.
- assess student medical needs.
- follow DCF licensing standards checking for compliance on medication storage in residential settings.
- checking for completed medication paperwork.
- completing new student medical reviews within 72 hours of date of entry
APPLIED ARTS/GRAPHIC DESIGN INSTRUCTOR:
- A new facility and curriculum offers state of the art technology in a classroom/workshop setting.
- Ability to instruct students in the technological application of graphic arts, music, architecture, mechanical design, print, and 3D printing.
- Ability to creatively support team instruction of architecture (CAD), mechanical design, 3D printing, large format printing, and video and music production.
- Ability to team collaboratively with other teachers to integrate students’ talent into applications of new technologies.
- A passion for working with our student population.
- Professional experience in applied arts and graphic design.
- 11 month, full time position with competitive salary and benefits.
- Connecticut DOE certification in Technology Education (047) or Art (042) preferred.

CLINICIAN/COUNSELOR:
- Provide family, individual, and group therapy to students in twelve-month school/residential program.
- Behavior management with integrated services are provided to children and adolescents with ADHD, Asperger’s, LD, and Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Cognitive-Behavioral orientation and experience a plus.
- Opportunity for research and experiential treatment, including wilderness programs.
- Master’s level degree and license/certification eligible.

JOB COACH:
- Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through TLC.
- Identify employment needs and trends in the local community for the students.
- Provide instruction in workforce education subjects that positively impact job seeking and maintenance.
- Identify and secure employment or volunteerism opportunities for students.
- Develop and maintain individualized employability plans for students.
- Provide appropriate coaching and fading to the students in the job setting.
- Make appropriate referrals to post secondary education programs, both credit and non-credit.
- Promote social inclusion and community membership to the students.
- Conduct periodic visits to student's job sites to discuss progress with students and employers.
- Assist student support planning: transportation, benefits, accommodation needs and disclosure planning.
- Instruct students in the area of independent living skills.
- Maintain accurate record keeping concerning students in accordance with established procedures for the program and/or funding entities.
- Attend the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.
- Must be able to pass background checks/drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a public service endorsement or equivalent for student transport.
RESIDENTIAL AWAKE OVERNIGHT:
- A dedicated individual with experience in elementary age to adolescent development to provide family and life skills for children with learning and emotional difficulties.
- Four day work week 11:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
SEASONAL PART-TIME TENNIS COACH:
- The Tennis Coach/Instructor is responsible for assisting in the organizing, promoting and directing of tennis tournaments and lessons. Primary focus is on student participation and satisfaction, with emphasis on general tennis instruction through clinics, lessons, and events.
- Responsibilities include providing lessons for all levels of tennis instruction (beginner to advance) to all students, including private lessons, group lessons and clinics as assigned. Attend staff meetings and student functions as required. Develop a tennis team to compete with other area schools.
- Job Requirements: Prior tennis coaching experience preferred. Instruction experience required. Prior experience working with school age students is desirable.
